YouTube Movies promotes movies w/ HD quality, only SD is available post purchase

I've bought two movies so far, where the trailer offered HD quality (1080p), and I explicitly selected HD when I made my purchase and paid ~$4 more (in comparison to SD quality). When I get access to the movie I can only access SD quality. What is this practice? I'm in Sweden. Examples include The Big Short (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCTtbLhnRUU) and Inglorious Basterds (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO78cZXiyHc).
